Bringing restoration and hope to women and children worldwide…

Our Dreams & Mission

Dreams Come True International Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Georgia nonprofit organization committed to addressing food insecurity and improving the overall health and well-being of individuals and families in Douglas County, Cobb County, and Fulton County. We are also blessed to support organizations abroad in Africa and Haiti yearly.

Our Mission is to bring restoration and hope to individuals and families in need worldwide by providing the most basic human needs and resources to achieve a self-sustaining life.

“Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice. It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life. “

-Nelson Mandela

We are Located in Douglasville, Georgia. We serve food and provide housing resources to the insecure of Douglas, Cobb, and Fulton Counties. Douglasville is about 21% lower for both cost of living and housing compared to the national average; yet two-third of the population lives in poverty. The poverty rate in Douglasville is about 5% higher than the Georgia average. With a median yearly household income of about $24,516 or $2,042 per month vs the median monthly cost of rent of about $1,548 for a two-bedroom apartment. As certain generations would say “the math just doesn’t add up’”.

Addressing food and housing insecurity is crucial for fostering a just and equitable society. These twin challenges are not isolated issues; they are interconnected, feeding into a cycle of poverty and vulnerability that undermines the well-being of individuals and communities.

At its core, Food insecurity represents a fundamental violation of the right to an adequate standard of living. When individuals lack consistent access to nutritious and sufficient food, their physical and mental health suffers. Malnutrition can lead to a range of health problems, affecting both children and adults. This can contribute to a cycle of health problems, as individuals struggle to reach their full potential due to limitations.

Addressing food and housing insecurity is not just a matter of charity; it is a fundamental step towards building a more compassionate society. By ensuring every individual has access to nutritious food and stable housing, we lay the groundwork for stronger, healthier communities. This commitment reflects our shared values and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, free from the constraints of poverty and insecurity.
